WHAAAT? We Won An Award???
Just found out Welcome to Metal Kingdom won a Silver Palm award at the 2009 Mexico International Film Festival which was canceled last year due to the swine flu…(huh?) so I have a VIP ticket to collect my award at this year’s festival in Baja but I live waaaay down under in Oz so it’s not likely gonna happen.

I seriously think this one is a scam-I can’t find any pictures, news, info on anyone attending…it is totally a tourist trap for people to visit Rosarito/Baja Mexico…I “think” I remember submitting last year in the middle of moving to Oz and I remember some email about swine flu and a film festival but was not sure I had won anything and was like huh? I know I found them through Without A Box so thought it was legit-but I was pregnant and losing it so who knows? And by the looks of their website it seems like there are about 200 silver palm winners from 2009. Hil-freakin’-larious!!!! Well, the festival may be a scam but Metal Kingdom is not…
